Who We Are
Muse Dress Hire is operated by Natalia Santos Bispo, trading as Muse Dress Hire (ABN 66 345 611 785), Unit 309/12 Stanley St, Kogarah NSW 2217. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Muse Dress Hire. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What We Collect
We only collect what we need to run your hire and our business:
- Bookings: your name, email address, delivery address (if you choose delivery), the dress, size, event date, hire period and amount paid.
- Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.
- VIP sign-up: your email address, so we can send your welcome code and occasional news and offers.
- Reviews: your name, email address, rating and comments. Your email is used only to confirm you hired that dress and is never published; your first name and review may be shown on our website.
- Styling requests: your name, email address, event details, size and style preferences, and any photos of yourself you choose to send. Photos are delivered to our inbox to help us suggest dresses and are not published or stored on our website.
- Enquiries: your name, email address and anything you choose to tell us when you use our contact form, email us or message us on Instagram, such as measurements or event details.
- Website activity: information collected automatically when you browse, such as pages and dresses viewed, when you start checkout, your device and browser type, and your IP address (see “Cookies and the Meta Pixel” below).
How We Use It
- To confirm, prepare, deliver and track your hire, and to manage returns, late fees, damage and store credit.
- To contact you about your booking and reply to your questions.
- To check whether you are eligible for the VIP first-hire discount.
- To send you news and offers if you signed up. You can opt out at any time.
- To understand how people use our website, measure our advertising and show our ads to people likely to be interested.
- To prevent fraud, keep our records and meet our legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and the Meta Pixel
Our website uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It records actions such as visiting a page, viewing a dress, starting checkout and completing a booking (including the booking value), together with technical details such as your IP address and browser. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account. We use it to measure our ads and to show them to people likely to be interested. Meta handles this information under its own Privacy Policy.
Our website also stores small preferences in your browser (for example, whether you have closed our VIP pop-up or this site’s privacy notice). Our studio map is provided by Google Maps and our fonts by Google Fonts, which means Google may receive your IP address when those load.
Your choices: you can manage how Meta uses this information in your Facebook or Instagram settings under “Your activity off Meta technologies” and “Ad preferences”. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use a content blocker. Our website will still work for browsing and booking.
Who We Share It With
We share personal information only with the service providers who help us run Muse Dress Hire, and only as needed:
- Stripe to process payments.
- Supabase to store our booking and customer records (hosted in Sydney).
- Render to host our website.
- Resend to send booking confirmations and other emails.
- Meta for advertising and measurement, as described above.
- Couriers to deliver and return your hire.
We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.
Overseas Disclosure
Some of these providers, including Meta, Stripe, Render and Resend, may store or process information outside Australia, mainly in the United States and Europe. We use reputable providers that protect personal information, but overseas laws may differ from Australian law.
How We Keep It Safe
Our website uses secure (HTTPS) connections, payments are handled by Stripe, and our records are kept in access-controlled systems available only to us. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and, where required, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
How Long We Keep It
We keep booking and payment records for as long as needed to manage your hire and for the period required by Australian tax law (generally five years). VIP emails are kept until you unsubscribe. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it.
Marketing Emails
We only send news and offers if you signed up. To stop receiving them, use the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any of our emails, reply “unsubscribe”, or write to hello@musedresshire.com.au. We will remove you within five business days. You will still receive emails about bookings you make.
Access, Correction and Questions
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email hello@musedresshire.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.
If you have a privacy concern or complaint, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
